The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has suspended two Premier Soccer League (PSL) referees, Quedsani Dirwai and Magare Mhaka, from officiating for six matchdays following reports of incorrect decisions during matches played on 1 August 2026.
According to a ZIFA press statement, the two referees will be sidelined from Matchday 27 through to Matchday 32.
Dirwai was sanctioned for his handling of the Scotland FC versus MWOS FC encounter at Rufaro Stadium, while Mhaka was cited for his performance during the FC Platinum versus Simba Bhora match at Mandava Stadium.
ZIFA said match commissioners reported that incorrect decisions made by the two officials were deemed to have influenced the outcomes of their respective matches.
The suspensions were imposed in accordance with Article 22 of the ZIFA Referees Code of Conduct, which provides the regulatory framework governing the conduct and performance of match officials.
The decision comes as ZIFA continues efforts to strengthen officiating standards and accountability within the domestic game.
