Police have opened investigations into the deaths of a married couple whose bodies were discovered inside their home in Glen View 3, Harare, on Wednesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Nyasha Mhungu, 35, and his wife, Olga Muzhingi, 30.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the couple were found dead in a bedroom at their residence following a reported marital dispute.
“The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Nyasha Mhungu (35) and his wife Olga Muzhingi (30), who were found dead in a bedroom at a house in Glen View 3, Harare, following a marital dispute,” police said.
The circumstances leading to the deaths remain unclear, with investigations underway to establish what happened.
Unconfirmed reports circulating in the community have raised the possibility of a suspected double suicide, but police have not confirmed this, and the cause of death is yet to be established.
Authorities have urged members of the public experiencing domestic disputes or related challenges to seek assistance before situations escalate.
