Cimas Health Group has positioned itself at the forefront of Zimbabwe’s preventative health drive after confirming its strategic partnership for the Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup and Multisport Festival Troutbeck 2026.

Speaking at the official press launch held in Harare on Tuesday, Chief Marketing Officer Mr Manatsa Gaka said the partnership, driven through the group’s iGo wellness division, reflects Cimas’ broader mission of inspiring healthier communities.

“At Cimas Health Group, we exist for one simple but powerful purpose — to inspire healthier communities,” said Gaka. “Health does not begin in hospitals. It begins with the choices we make daily — movement, discipline, resilience and purpose.”

The 12th edition of the event is scheduled for 14 March 2026 at Troutbeck Resort. The Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup is sanctioned by Africa Triathlon and World Triathlon and awards world-ranking points that contribute toward Olympic qualification for elite competitors.

Triathlon is a continuous endurance sport combining a 1500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run — a format that tests both mental strength and physical stamina.

Gaka said Cimas’ involvement goes beyond brand visibility, describing the partnership as a deliberate investment in prevention and long-term health outcomes.

“As a health and wellness provider with over 80 years of service, we are evolving beyond funding care. We are shaping health outcomes through prevention-focused initiatives, digital health solutions and wellness programmes under iGo that empower individuals to take charge of their wellbeing every day,” he said.

Beyond the Africa Cup races, the Troutbeck Multisport Festival will feature the African Cross-Triathlon (Off-Road) Championship, the Cimas Corporate Triathlon Challenge, Zimbabwe Triathlon Championships, Tri-Kidz and Trisports races, Aquathlon (run-swim-run) and an open water swim — widening participation across age groups and corporate teams.

Gaka applauded organisers for creating a platform that promotes healthy lifestyles through sport, adding that the partnership aligns with Cimas’ long-term vision of normalising wellness across communities.

“The best investment we can ever make is in our health. Cimas Health Group is proud to be part of this journey,” he said.

As preparations intensify for the March showcase in the Eastern Highlands, Cimas’ backing signals a growing emphasis on prevention, performance and community-driven wellness.
