Cimas iGo Cycling Event Champions Active Lifestyles

Nearly 300 cyclists, including families and children gathered at Borrowdale Office Park on Saturday for the Cimas iGo Pedal to Wellness 2025, an annual event promoting heart health and active living.

Now in its third year, the ride featured three categories  a 45km endurance race, a 22.5km mid-distance challenge, and a 4.5km fun ride for kids. The lively atmosphere was filled with cheers, music, and community spirit as participants took on the different routes.

Dr. Nicola Misi, Head of Cimas iGo, said the strong turnout showed growing recognition of the importance of wellness initiatives.

“This event is about more than cycling it’s about promoting cardiovascular health, encouraging people to be active, and showing that wellness can be fun for the whole family,” she said.

The event was held in commemoration of World Heart Day, marked globally on September 29, under the theme “Promoting Heart Health & Active Lifestyles.”

Alongside the races, participants visited the Wellness Corner, where dieticians, coaches, and health partners offered guidance on nutrition, fitness, and overall wellbeing. Every cyclist who completed the ride received a medal as a recognition of effort and commitment.

The day closed with group photos and celebrations, reinforcing the message that wellness is not only about fitness but also about community. Pedal to Wellness continues to grow as one of Zimbabwe’s flagship health and wellness events.
